Electronic filing for Texas courts
E-filing that doesn’t suck.
No plug-ins. No vanished drafts. No calling support to find out why your filing disappeared. DocketFile is what you get when a firm that actually uses this stuff every day decides to build it themselves.
Why DocketFile
Filing court documents shouldn’t feel like using a fax machine.
Scanned pages, fixed before they're filed
A blurry fax or a crooked phone scan gets straightened, cleaned, and run through OCR automatically, so the clerk gets a real searchable PDF instead of a flat image.
Locked down by default
Multi-factor auth, encrypted sessions, accounts that lock themselves after repeated bad logins. Not a setting you have to go find. Just how it works.
Every file gets scanned
If the scanner can't run, the upload doesn't go through. We'd rather hold things up for a few seconds than let something through unchecked.
Receipts for everything
Every login, upload, and filing gets its own transaction id in the log. When someone asks what happened last Tuesday, you'll actually know.
One place for the whole firm
Users, attorneys, service contacts, payment accounts. Managed from one screen, with permissions that make sense to the person setting them up.
We never see a card number
Filing fees go through a hosted payment page. Your firm's card data touches our servers zero times, and every fee shows up itemized on the receipt.
How it works
Three steps. That’s it.
Pick the court and the case
Starting something new or filing into a case that's already open - either way, you tell us the court, the case type, and who's involved before anything else happens.
Add your documents and review
Upload the lead document and any attachments, mark who needs to be served, and choose how it gets paid for. Nothing goes to the clerk until you've actually looked it over.
Track it to acceptance
Once it's submitted, you'll see real status from the court - accepted, rejected, or sent back for a fix - plus an itemized fee receipt once it's processed.
Pricing
One price. No surprises.
Charged only when the clerk accepts your filing. No monthly fee, no setup cost, no contract.

Filing for yourself, without a firm? It’s free for self-represented filers.
Your firm runs on more than filings.
Add attorneys, decide who can see what, keep the firm’s payment accounts straight. One console, and nobody needs a manual to use it.
